This punk style wedding took place at the unique & edgy Smoked Garage in Brisbane City’s, Fortitude Valley. The dark, atmospheric setting was adorned with flickering candles, graffiti art, and vintage posters, creating an ambiance that perfectly reflected the couple's alternative style. As a filmmaker, I reveled in the challenge of capturing the spirit of this unconventional wedding. This breathtaking Brisbane City wedding was styled by the extremely unique and wildly talented Velvetine Events which complimented the couples style flawlessly.
At the heart of this wedding was the couple's desire to fully embrace their individuality and express themselves authentically. Their vows were raw and honest, filled with unconventional promises and a commitment to supporting each other's unique journeys. Capturing these genuine moments of vulnerability on film was a true privilege, as it allowed me to showcase the couple's unwavering love for each other. Their very talented celebrant, Love By Lara, complimented the couple’s style nicely with a personalised ceremony that perfectly embodied the couples love story. The couples choice of photographer was Love By Jill, a quirky and immensely talented Brisbane city photographer who matched the couples aesthetic to a tee.
Behind the punk aesthetic and alternative vibes, one thing was abundantly clear - joy radiated from every corner of the wedding. Laughter echoed against the warehouse walls as friends and family, dressed in their finest punk attire, cheered on the newlyweds. When the reception rolled through, emotions flew high as friends and family made everlasting speeches all of which were captured on video and immortalised forever. It was an honour to capture these moments of pure happiness amidst the unconventional setting, adding a touch of adventure and spontaneity to the film.
